Perinatal Services

Caring for you, so you can care for them.

The transition to parenthood is often described as a "joyous time," but for many, it can also be overwhelming, isolating, and a time of monumental change.

Whether you are currently pregnant, navigating the "fourth trimester," or well into your first few years of parenthood, you don't have to carry the weight of these changes alone.

I provide a specialized, compassionate space for parents in Alberta to navigate the complexities of birth and beyond.

Common areas we can explore together:

  • Postpartum Depression & Anxiety: Moving through the "baby blues," intrusive thoughts, or feelings of "not feeling like yourself."

  • Identity Shifts: Rediscovering who you are outside of being a "parent" or "caregiver."

  • Relationship Transitions: Navigating the shift in dynamics with your partner as you move from a duo to a family.

  • Parental Burnout: Managing the mental load and the exhaustion of modern parenting.

A Note on Accessibility for New Parents:

I deeply understand that getting out of the house with a newborn can be a monumental task. Sometimes all of the appointments feel endless. To make support as accessible as possible, I offer secure virtual sessions across Alberta. You are welcome to attend sessions from the comfort of your couch—babies, bottles, breastfeeding, and your spit up-stained sweats are all more than welcome.

If you’d like to connect in person, the same rules apply. Come as you are. Baby is always welcome to join you.

Why specialized support matters

Perinatal mental health is a unique field. It requires an understanding of hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, and the specific social pressures placed on parents today.

My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic tools with a deep empathy for those long days (and nights) in the trenches—I’ve been there.

My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, supported, and a little less alone.

If you’re struggling and things feel hard, it’s because they are. Let’s connect.

The Process

1.
Consultation

A free 20-minute consultation to discuss what you’re hoping to work on, ask any questions, and most importantly, see if we’re a good fit.

Please note: a consultation call is optional and not required.

2.
Initial Session

We’ll dig a little deeper into what’s brought you to counselling. Together, we’ll map out what we’re going to work on and how we’re going to do it. We’ll also make a plan for working together moving forward.

3.
Ongoing Growth

Continued connection as you work towards your goals. We’ll work together to set the pace and cadence, and discuss your progress. For some folks, counselling is short-term. For others, we develop a longer-term relationship.

Compassionate, genuine support as you navigate the ups and downs of life.
